The COVID-19 pandemic didn’t slow down the commercial real estate industry in 2020.
From a 100,000-square-foot development mixing labs space, clean rooms and office space for life sciences company Krystal Biotech to the new 300,000-square-foot, nine-story building at Bakery Square where Philips occupies its regional headquarters, NAIOP Pittsburgh celebrated the best commercial development projects of 2020.
This year continues that momentum. Contracting volume for the first six months of 2021 should pan out around $2.4 billion, which is a 30% increase when compared to the $1.8 billion during the first half of 2020, according to Pittsburgh’s Breaking Ground.
